Job Title: Forestry Instructor

Lethbridge College is seeking a highly qualified Forestry Instructor to join our team in the School of Environmental Sciences.

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering courses in forest management, fire management, and grassland and forest resources, as well as contributing to curriculum development and fostering relationships with the broader community.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver high-quality instruction in forest-related courses, including forest management, fire management, and grassland and forest resources.
  • Contribute to the development and renewal of course and program curricula.
  • Support the success of students with diverse cultural and educational backgrounds and learning styles.
  • Assess student learning in ways that both facilitate learning and ensure achievement against appropriate academic standards.
  • Work collegially within the School, Centre, or College committees and project teams.
Requirements:
  • A Master of Science in a forest-related discipline (ecology, fire, etc.) to allow for cross-teaching into the Bachelor of Ecosystem Management.
  • A Master of Science in-progress will also be considered.
  • A minimum of a Bachelor of Science Degree in Forestry with significant years of field experience in forest management and fire management.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills necessary to contribute positively to a team environment.
