Job Title: Forestry Instructor

Lethbridge College is seeking a highly qualified Forestry Instructor to join our team in the School of Environmental Sciences. As a key member of our faculty, you will be responsible for delivering courses in forest management, fire management, and grassland and forest resources.

About the Position

We are looking for a candidate with a strong background in forest ecology, fire weather, and prescribed fire management. The successful candidate will have a Master of Science in a forest-related discipline and significant years of field experience in forest management and fire management.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver courses congruent with established course curricula and program outcomes
  • Support the success of students with diverse cultural and educational backgrounds and learning styles
  • Assess student learning in ways that both facilitate learning and ensure achievement against appropriate academic standards
  • Contribute to course and program curriculum development and renewal
  • Work collegially within the School, Centre or College committees and project teams
Primary Instructional Assignment

The primary instructional assignment will be in the Renewable Resource Management (RRM), Environmental Assessment & Restoration (EAR), Natural Resource Compliance (NRC), and the Bachelor of Ecosystem Management (ECM) programs.

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering courses in forest management, fire management, and grassland and forest resources. The primary assignment will be within the RRM, EAR, NRC, and ECM programs.
