Job Title: Registered Practical Nurse
We are seeking highly skilled and experienced Registered Practical Nurses (RPNs) to work in various long-term and acute care facilities in the East York area.
This opportunity offers above-average wages with travel compensation and accommodation.
Responsibilities:
- Provide nursing care in accordance with established policies, physician's orders, and the resident plan of care.
- Deliver excellent nursing and personal care in assigned home areas, adhering to sound nursing practice principles.
- Ensure timely and safe resident transfers and discharges.
- Manage and maintain the proper use and control of drugs and narcotics.
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care to meet the physical, psychological, emotional, spiritual, cultural, and social needs of residents.
Requirements:
- Active registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
- Able to work with persons with infectious diseases.
- BLS Certificate.
- Valid First Aid & CPR.
- Proof of current immunizations for Measles, Mumps, Rubella, and Varicella (MMRV) and a negative TB skin test within one year, as well as Hepatitis B.
- Current Vulnerable Sector Police Check.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills.
- Reliable and flexible, with the ability to work varying shift times and 'float' between units as needed.
