About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Manager to join our team at CO_04 TC1 Bird Construction Industrial Services Ltd. As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for leading and directing the daily management of assigned projects, ensuring their successful completion within budget, schedule, and quality parameters.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the Senior Project Manager in establishing project goals, objectives, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Assist in obtaining necessary permits and approvals from local authorities.
  • Collaborate with team members and stakeholders to identify, recommend, and implement cost-effective project delivery strategies.
  • Manage project budgets, schedules, and cost reports, ensuring accurate and timely updates.
  • Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and clients to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with clients, consultants, sub-trades, and suppliers.
  • Ensure project health, safety, and environmental standards meet legislated requirements and company policy.
  • Assist in completing project close-out activities, including final reports and outstanding charges.
Requirements
  • Undergraduate degree in engineering or construction management.
  • Eligible for, or have attained, E.I.T., P. Eng., CET, or PQS designations.
  • Institutional and commercial construction background.
  • 5 years of hands-on experience in construction management, including at least 3 years in project management of large industrial projects.
  • Demonstrated leadership, project management, and problem-solving skills, with a collaborative approach to delivering results and developing team members.
  • Ability to read, understand, and interpret contract documents, drawings, specifications, scopes of work, and project schedules.
  • Experience with Viewpoint Project Management system is an asset.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, troubleshooting, problem-solving skills, and a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a positive attitude.
