About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Construction Project Manager to join our team at Bird Construction Group. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing the planning, organization, and execution of construction projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Planning and Organization
    • Develop and implement project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
    • Coordinate with project stakeholders, including clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors.
  • Team Management
    • Supervise and mentor a team of construction professionals, including project managers, superintendents, and laborers.
    • Provide guidance and support to ensure the successful completion of projects.
  • Quality Control and Assurance
    • Develop and implement quality control processes to ensure compliance with industry standards and company policies.
    • Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress and identify potential issues.
  • Financial Management
    • Manage project budgets, including cost estimation, tracking, and reporting.
    • Ensure compliance with company financial policies and procedures.
  • Communication and Reporting
    • Develop and maintain effective communication with project stakeholders, including clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors.
    • Prepare and submit regular project reports, including progress updates, financial reports, and quality control reports.
Requirements
  • Education
    • College or CEGEP diploma in a related field, such as construction management, engineering, or architecture.
  • Experience
    • Minimum 5 years of experience in construction project management, including experience in industrial, commercial, and institutional projects.
  • Skills
    • Strong leadership and management skills, including the ability to motivate and direct a team.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to work effectively with clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to identify and resolve project issues.
    • Proficiency in project management software, including Microsoft Project, Primavera, and other related tools.
