Landscape Maintenance Specialist

At SPRUCE GARDEN LTD., we are seeking a skilled Landscape Maintenance Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our outdoor horticulture team, you will be responsible for maintaining the beauty and health of our gardens and landscapes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with landscape constructions and installations
  • Tie and secure plants, trees, and shrubs
  • Weed, prune, and trim trees and plants to maintain their health and appearance
  • Cut and maintain grass and other vegetation
  • Rake and collect refuse and debris
  • Cart and spread topsoil and other materials as needed
  • Lay sod or seed to maintain the health and appearance of our lawns and gardens
  • Plant bulbs, flowers, shrubs, and trees to enhance the beauty of our outdoor spaces
  • Apply fertilizers and other treatments to promote healthy plant growth
  • Repair and maintain equipment to ensure efficient and safe operation
  • Water and tend to plants, lawns, and gardens to maintain their health and appearance
  • Operate and maintain landscape maintenance equipment to ensure efficient and safe operation
  • Remove trees and other vegetation as needed to maintain the health and appearance of our outdoor spaces

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities:

  • Work outdoors in a variety of weather conditions
  • Handle heavy loads and equipment
  • Work at heights and in confined spaces
  • Perform manual dexterity tasks, such as tying and securing plants
  • Bend, crouch, and kneel to perform tasks

Experience:

  • 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a related field
  • Permanent employment with a regular schedule
  • English language proficiency
  • 32 hours of work per week
