About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Registered Nurse to join our team as an Advanced Emergency Nurse Specialist at William Osler Health System. This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires a strong commitment to delivering high-quality patient care in a fast-paced emergency department setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert nursing care to patients with complex medical conditions, including those requiring life-saving interventions
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans that address the unique needs of each patient
  • Collaborate with the inter-professional healthcare team to ensure seamless care transitions and optimal patient outcomes
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the latest evidence-based practices and technologies in emergency nursing
  • Contribute to quality improvement initiatives that enhance patient safety and satisfaction

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will possess:

  • A degree in nursing from an accredited institution
  • Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario
  • A minimum of 2 years' experience in emergency nursing, with a focus on critical care
  • Demonstrated expertise in arrhythmia interpretation and management
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and manage competing demands
