About the Role

BDO is seeking a skilled Resource Manager to support our National Advisory Service Line. As a key member of our team, you will work closely with Managers and Partners to optimize resource deployment and drive business growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as a liaison between stakeholders to ensure effective resource allocation and conflict resolution.
  • Collaborate with Project Managers and Partners to identify resource requirements and develop solutions that meet business objectives.
  • Proactively seek out resources and capabilities to support initiatives in the pipeline.
  • Work with partners to ensure resources are leveraged in a profitable manner.
  • Liaise with people managers and project teams to understand resource performance and inform future resource placements.
  • Identify opportunities to leverage underutilized resources and skills gaps within the team.
  • Develop and maintain a resource skills database to ensure accurate information.
  • Work with Human Resources to recruit talent when needed.
  • Identify potential resourcing or process issues and present solutions to leadership.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of experience in resource management or project management in a professional services environment.
  • Experience forecasting resource projections and proficiency in MS Office applications.
  • Assertive conflict-resolution and problem-solving skills, with clear and concise communication in both written and verbal form.
  • Ability to prioritize and organize workload across multiple groups and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
