We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team in the Emergency Department at The Lakes District Hospital. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care, working collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide emergency nursing care to patients with a wide range of medical conditions, from non-urgent to life-threatening.
- Work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple patients simultaneously.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans, taking into account the unique needs and circumstances of each patient.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including physicians, nurses, and allied health staff, to ensure comprehensive care.
- Participate in ongoing education and professional development to stay up-to-date with the latest evidence-based practices and technologies.
- Current registration with the BC College of Nurses and Midwives as a practicing RN registrant.
- Two years' recent experience working in a tertiary care Emergency Department and/or two years' recent medical/surgical experience.
- Completion of an approved post-basic emergency nursing specialty program or equivalent training and experience may be considered.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACL) for Emergency room.

- Four weeks vacation with one year of continuous service.
