Job Title: Food Service Supervisor

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Food Service Supervisor to join our team at 2472527 Ontario Inc. As a Food Service Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our food service establishment, ensuring that our customers receive exceptional service and that our food quality meets the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Budgeting and Cost Control: Prepare and manage budgets, cost estimates, and financial reports to ensure the efficient operation of our food service establishment.
  • Customer Service: Address customer complaints and concerns in a professional and courteous manner, ensuring that our customers feel valued and satisfied.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain accurate records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage, ensuring that our inventory is always up-to-date and that we are able to meet customer demand.
  • Reporting and Communication: Prepare and submit regular reports to management, highlighting key performance indicators and areas for improvement.
  • Culinary Knowledge: Possess in-depth knowledge of our establishment's culinary genres and be able to provide expert advice to our culinary team.
  • Team Supervision: Supervise and check the assembly of trays, delivery of food trolleys, and ensure that our team is working efficiently and effectively.
  • Work Scheduling: Establish and manage work schedules to ensure that our team is adequately staffed and that our customers receive exceptional service.
Requirements:
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a food service establishment.
  • Work Setting: Food service establishment.
  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Fast-paced environment, work under pressure, tight deadlines, combination of sitting, standing, walking, standing for extended periods, bending, crouching, kneeling, and physically demanding.
  • Personal Suitability: Client focus, efficient interpersonal skills, excellent oral communication, flexibility, and team player.
Support for Newcomers and Refugees:
  • Recruit and support newcomers and refugees who were displaced by a conflict or a natural disaster.
  • Support newcomers and refugees with foreign credential recognition.
Support for Youths:
  • Offer on-the-job training tailored to youth.
Support for Indigenous People:
  • Develop and maintain relationships with indigenous communities, indigenous-owned businesses, and organizations.
