Kitchen Assistant

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Kitchen Helper at Melville Country Inn. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our food service.
Key Responsibilities- Cleaning and Sanitation
- Ensure all kitchen equipment, utensils, and surfaces are clean and sanitized at all times.
- Operate dishwashers to wash dishes, glassware, and flatware.
- Place dishes in storage areas.
- Food Preparation and Service
- Prepare, heat, and finish simple food items.
- Take customers' orders and ensure prompt service.
- Inventory and Supply Management
- Receive, unpack, and store supplies in refrigerators, freezers, cupboards, and other storage areas.
- Keep records of food quantities used.
- General Kitchen Duties
- Clear and clean tables, trays, and chairs.
- Remove kitchen garbage and trash.
- Sweep, mop, wash, and polish floors.
- Wash, peel, and cut vegetables and fruit.
- No degree, certificate, or diploma required.
- Will train on the job.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Availability to work 35-40 hours per week.
