Kitchen Assistant

We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Kitchen Helper to join our team at Melville Country Inn. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our food service.
Key Responsibilities- Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment and utensils, including dishwashers, carts, and waste disposal units.
- Clear and clean tables, trays, and chairs, maintaining a high standard of cleanliness and presentation.
- Operate dishwashers to wash dishes, glassware, and flatware, ensuring they are thoroughly cleaned and sanitized.
- Store dishes and utensils in designated areas, maintaining a well-organized and efficient kitchen environment.
- Record food quantities used, accurately tracking inventory and supplies.
- Prepare, heat, and finish simple food items, adhering to our high standards of quality and presentation.
- Take customer orders, providing excellent service and ensuring accurate orders are fulfilled.
- Handle and store cleaning products, maintaining a safe and healthy working environment.
- Receive, unpack, and store supplies in refrigerators, freezers, cupboards, and other storage areas, ensuring timely restocking and inventory management.
- Remove kitchen garbage and trash, maintaining a clean and hygienic kitchen environment.
- Sweep, mop, wash, and polish floors, ensuring a clean and safe working environment.
- Wash, peel, and cut vegetables and fruit, preparing them for cooking and presentation.
- No degree, certificate, or diploma required.
- Will train on the job.
- English language proficiency required.
- 35-40 hours per week.
