Are you a motivated and experienced leader looking to take your career to the next level? We are seeking a highly skilled Assistant General Manager to join our team at Equinox Fitness Clubs in the San Fernando Valley.

Role Overview:

As an Assistant General Manager, you will play a key role in supporting the General Manager in the day-to-day operations of the club. You will be responsible for leading a team of Front Desk, Maintenance, and Kids' club departments, ensuring that they meet the Equinox brand standards. You will also be responsible for interviewing, hiring, training, and managing staff, as well as completing staff performance evaluations.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and motivate a dynamic workforce to deliver exceptional customer service and achieve business goals
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve club operations, including scheduling, payroll, and supply management
  • Collaborate with the General Manager to support ancillary departments and sales initiatives
  • Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction and retention through effective communication and problem-solving
  • Monitor and report on key performance indicators, including sales, membership, and customer satisfaction

Requirements:

  • Proven leadership experience in a fast-paced, customer-facing environment
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a focus on delivering results
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree preferred
