Job Summary

First Student Shared Services is seeking a reliable and safety-conscious Part-Time School Van Driver to transport students to and from school in a safe and efficient manner. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the well-being of our passengers and providing exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Safely transport students to and from school, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
  • Perform pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure optimal vehicle safety and maintain a clean and organized vehicle.
  • Ensure passenger safety while boarding and exiting buses and crossing streets.
  • Have or be able to obtain a Class 4 License, with reimbursement for any associated costs.

Requirements

  • Meet the company standard minimum age requirement of 21 years.
  • Previous experience working with vulnerable populations is preferred.
  • Ability to navigate through the service area using maps or on-board directional equipment.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • At least 3 years of driving experience, with at least 1 year in North America.
  • Valid (non-probationary) driver's license and a very good driving record.
  • Pass a Ministry-prescribed Medical examination, criminal record search, vulnerable sector clearance, and other background checks.
