About the Role

We are seeking a reliable and safety-conscious School Van Driver to join our team at First Transit Canada. As a School Van Driver, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe transportation of students to and from their destinations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Safely Transport Students: Ensure the safe transportation of students to and from their destinations on time.
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Perform pre/post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure optimal vehicle safety.
  • Passenger Safety: Ensure passenger safety while boarding and exiting buses and crossing streets.
  • Driver Requirements: Have or be able to obtain a Class 4 License, and possess a valid (non-probationary) driver's license and a very good driving record.
Requirements
  • Age: Meet the company standard minimum 21 years of age.
  • Experience: Previous experience with the vulnerable sector is preferred.
  • Navigation: Possess the ability to navigate through the service area using maps or on-board directional equipment.
  • Customer Service: Have strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Driving Experience: Have at least 3 years of driving experience (at least 1 in North America).
