Family Law Clerk Opportunity

Miller Thomson LLP is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Family Law Clerk to join our Vaughan office. As a key member of our Litigation, Family Law Practice Group, you will provide critical support to our lawyers in managing assignments, priorities, and deadlines.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Draft and revise various court and legal documents, including applications, affidavits, separation agreements, and motion materials.
  • Review and summarize productions received from clients, opposing counsel, and external parties.
  • Prepare financial and net family property statements, and assist in the management of uncontested divorce files.
  • Liaise with clients, opposing counsel, and external parties, and communicate potential issues to supervising lawyers.
Requirements:
  • Law Clerk Diploma and/or Paralegal Licence/Diploma.
  • At least 1 year of Family Law experience.
  • Solid understanding of current legal terminology and working knowledge of the civil procedure Court rules.
  • Advanced knowledge of litigation support software applications, including Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and Adobe Acrobat.
