Senior Analyst, Expense Operations

CB Canada is seeking a highly skilled Senior Analyst, Expense Operations to join our team. As a key member of our finance team, you will be responsible for supporting the daily operations of our centralized global expense processing and payments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and approve vendor invoices, employee expenses, and expense-related adjustment entries in accordance with policies and procedures.
  • Manage payment and cash management activities for our global offices, including timely payment processing, bank opening, and cash forecasting.
  • Perform general ledger accounting functions, including accounts payable subledger close, variance analysis, and journal entry preparation and review.
  • Collaborate with finance teams to provide supporting analysis and documentation for month-end close, tax filing, management reporting, and financial reporting.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement solutions that enhance efficiency and scalability.
  • Develop and maintain training materials to promote the use and understanding of accounts payable policies, systems, and procedures.
  • Update key control process documentation to ensure controls are operating as intended.

Requirements:

  • Undergraduate degree in accounting, finance, or business, with a professional accounting designation preferred.
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in a related role, preferably in corporate accounting.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to think critically and recommend solutions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and foster relationships with key business partners.
  • Experience with Oracle Financials general ledger is an asset.
