Childcare Facilitator for After School Programs

Position Overview
The role involves providing ongoing supervision and engaging interaction with children, as well as planning and facilitating daily activities for small groups.Work Schedule
As determined by school management.
Key Responsibilities Arrive on time and stay for the designated duration. Ensure constant supervision of children, never leaving them unattended. Assist children with personal hygiene as needed. Support children with their assignments and activities. Aid the site supervisor in delivering all daily services and documentation. Organize planned activities as directed by the site supervisor. Help in the distribution of snacks and supplies. Refer significant behavioral issues to the site supervisor. Participate in all staff meetings and training sessions related to the afterschool program. Additional Responsibilities
Perform any other related tasks as assigned by the site supervisor.

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)
Candidates must possess a high school diploma. The following are indicative of the knowledge, skills, and abilities required for the position: High School Diploma. Strong oral and written communication skills. Ability to foster positive relationships with students and their families. Understanding of the physical, mental, and emotional development of young children. Certification in Red Cross first aid and CPR/AED. A positive attitude towards working with young children. Physical Demands
The position requires various physical activities while working with children. While performing the duties of this job, the employee will need to stand, walk, bend, run, stoop, lift, etc. The following are some of the physical demands of the job: Capable of lifting up to 40 lbs. Sufficient mobility to ensure student safety and participate in activities. Ability to remain active for extended periods. Able to hear and comprehend speech at normal levels and on the telephone.
