Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise children at all times, ensuring their safety and well-being.
  • Plan and implement daily activities that cater to the children's interests and needs.
  • Assist children with homework and other tasks as needed.
  • Communicate effectively with parents and school administrators to ensure a smooth and successful program.
  • Participate in staff meetings and training sessions to stay updated on best practices and policies.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Physical ability to lift 40 pounds and participate in activities with children.

Work Environment

The After School Childcare Worker will work in a school/classroom environment, with occasional trips to community settings and study trips. The ideal candidate will be able to adapt to a fast-paced environment and prioritize the needs of the children.
