Role Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled Pastry Chef Team Leader to join our kitchen team. This individual will be responsible for leading by example, inspiring staff to deliver a premium food experience, and maintaining exceptional cleanliness and equipment standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with day-to-day kitchen operations, ensuring seamless execution of tasks and duties
  • Serve as an educator to the pastry team, providing guidance and expertise on bread making, classic baking techniques, and procedures
  • Design and create innovative pastries, desserts, and breads that exceed customer expectations
  • Manage resources efficiently, monitoring inventory and budget to optimize expenses
  • Lead by example, demonstrating exceptional interpersonal, presentation, and communication skills
  • Foster a dynamic and motivated team environment, promoting a culture of quality and excellence

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar role or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Degree in Culinary Arts or equivalent qualification
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Exceptional organizational skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
