Job Title: Transport Truck Driver

We are seeking a skilled Transport Truck Driver to join our team at CENTRA FOOD MARKET (BARRIE) INC.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for operating a transport truck to transport goods and materials safely and efficiently. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate a transport truck to transport goods and materials safely and efficiently
  • Plan and adjust routes based on changing conditions to minimize fuel consumption and carbon emissions
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks on the vehicle, including checking tire pressure, oil levels, and brakes
  • Load and unload goods, ensuring they are properly secured and protected
  • Communicate with dispatch and other stakeholders to coordinate transportation schedules and routes
  • Maintain accurate records of cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption
Requirements:
  • AZ class license and Air Brakes Endorsement
  • 1-2 years of experience in a related field
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Physical stamina to perform tasks that require lifting, bending, and standing for long periods
