We are seeking a skilled Transport Truck Driver to join our team at CENTRA FOOD MARKET (BARRIE) INC.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for operating a transport truck to transport goods and materials safely and efficiently. This is a permanent position with a 40-hour workweek.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan and adjust routes to minimize fuel consumption and carbon emissions
  • Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials
  • Load and unload goods
  • Oversee the condition of the vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment
  • Perform brake adjustments, emergency roadside repairs, and preventive maintenance
  • Receive and relay information to central dispatch
  • Record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption
  • Tarping and ensuring the safety and security of cargo
Requirements:
  • AZ class license
  • Air Brakes Endorsement
  • DZ class license
  • Air Brake (Z) Endorsement
  • Valid driver's license
  • Willingness to travel for extended periods
Work Environment:

The work environment is dusty, and the job requires physical demands, including repetitive tasks, sitting, and weight handling up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
