Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Customer Acquisition Specialist to join our team at Suncor Energy. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for growing our customer base in the Eastern region through the Petro-Canada Retail and Wholesale channels.

About the Role

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sales, with experience in meeting targets, fostering relationships, and negotiating with clients. You will work closely with our team to identify new sales opportunities and develop strategies to achieve growth targets.

Responsibilities
  • Generate and mature a customer base of approximately 2,000-3,000 accounts annually to enable them to purchase from our Petro-Canada cardlock and retail network
  • Prepare pricing proposals, competitive pricing, and promotion comparisons to drive sales growth
  • Execute SuperPass online functionality demonstrations to showcase our products and services
  • Provide exceptional customer service by taking an empathetic and solution-oriented attitude to meet client needs
  • Complete monthly portfolio reviews and analysis to support strategic opportunity planning, decision-making, and management to achieve growth targets
  • Take a disciplined approach to optimize your sales funnel to achieve shortened sales cycles
Requirements
  • Three or more years of experience in a sales role that requires meeting targets, and fostering relationships over the phone or through email
  • Advanced negotiating skills in order to influence decisions and achieve consensus while building positive relationships and credibility
  • Sound problem-solving, analytical skills, and decision-making abilities to drive business results
  • A self-starter with excellent communication, interpersonal, and non-authoritative leadership skills to work effectively with our team and clients
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office suite; customer relationship management (CRM), SAP/CCS, and Power BI to analyze data and drive sales growth
Estimated Salary Range

$80,000 - $110,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
