Job Description

Qualifications and Experience

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced teacher to join our team as an Intermediate Teacher - Education Specialist. The successful candidate will have a strong background in education and experience working with students with diverse learning needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement educational programs for students with diverse learning needs
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement restorative practices and developmentally responsive approaches
  • Plan, deliver, and analyze project-based learning to support curriculum outcomes
  • Develop and implement Student Learning Plans, Behaviour Plans, Safety Plans, and Individual Education Plans
  • Communicate effectively with parents and caregivers to establish cooperative and authentic connections

  • Strong classroom management, planning, and organizational skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively and maintain authentic relationships with students, parents, and community members
  • Keenness to learn about and integrate diverse cultures and worldviews into the classroom
  • Strong understanding of inclusive education and restorative practices
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing circumstances

Additional Requirements

  • Teacher Certificate in good standing in another Canadian province/territory
  • Criminal Record Check including a Vulnerable Sector Check
  • Ability to relocate to a rural community
