About the Role

We are seeking a reliable and compassionate Home Support Worker to join our team at CareGivers Inc. As a Home Support Worker, you will provide essential care and support to clients in their own homes, enabling them to maintain their independence and quality of life.

Key Responsibilities
  • Personal Care: Assist clients with bathing, dressing, and personal hygiene, promoting their dignity and well-being.
  • Household Management: Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties, ensuring a safe and healthy environment for clients.
  • Companionship: Provide emotional support and companionship to clients, helping to alleviate feelings of loneliness and isolation.
  • Meal Preparation: Prepare and serve nutritious meals, taking into account clients' dietary needs and preferences.
  • Errands and Shopping: Assist clients with grocery shopping and other errands, helping to maintain their independence.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: Experience is an asset, but not required.
  • Certifications: Certificate of Conduct, First Aid Certificate.
  • Security Clearance: Vulnerable sector check, Criminal record check.
  • Transportation: Own transportation is required.
Work Environment

As a Home Support Worker, you will work in a variety of settings, including clients' homes, and may be required to lift up to 9 kg (20 lbs). You will work a casual schedule, with hours varying from 3 to 80 hours bi-weekly.
