Job Title: Home Support Worker

We are seeking a reliable and compassionate Home Support Worker to join our team at CareGivers. As a Home Support Worker, you will provide essential care and support to our clients in their own homes, enabling them to maintain their independence and quality of life.

Responsibilities:
  • Administer bedside and personal care to clients, ensuring their comfort and dignity.
  • Assist clients with bathing, dressing, and other aspects of personal hygiene.
  • Launder clothing and household linens, maintaining a clean and hygienic environment.
  • Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties, ensuring a safe and healthy living space.
  • Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, helping to alleviate feelings of loneliness and isolation.
  • Shop for food and household supplies, ensuring clients have access to essential items.
  • Prepare and serve nutritious meals, promoting healthy eating habits and well-being.
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience an asset, but not required.
  • Certificate of Conduct.
  • First Aid Certificate.
  • Immunization records.
  • Tuberculosis test.
  • Vulnerable sector check.
Work Environment:

As a Home Support Worker, you will work in clients' homes, providing care and support in a variety of settings. You will be required to work independently, using your initiative and judgment to make decisions and take action.

Physical Demands:
  • Bending, crouching, kneeling.
  • Combination of sitting, standing, walking.
  • Repetitive tasks.
  • Sitting.
  • Walking.
Weight Handling:

You will be required to lift and move objects weighing up to 9 kg (20 lbs).
