Job Title: Diesel Mechanic

We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team at Blue Ocean Freight Inc. As a Diesel Mechanic, you will be responsible for troubleshooting and repairing heavy trucks and diesel engines.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Troubleshoot and inspect equipment to detect faults and malfunctions
  • Diagnose faults or malfunctions using computerized and other testing equipment
  • Order parts and maintain inventory
  • Adjust equipment and repair or replace defective parts
  • Keep maintenance reports and documentation
  • Test repaired equipment for proper performance
  • Clean, lubricate and perform other maintenance work
  • Perform repair work on heavy trucks
  • Service attachments and working tools
  • Verify and repair emission control systems
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in the field
  • Valid driver's licence
  • Willing to travel
  • Physically demanding work environment
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs)
