Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team at Extendicare (Canada) Inc. The successful candidate will provide high-quality nursing care to patients in a nursing home/home for the aged setting.

Responsibilities
  • Provide safety and health education to individuals and their families, promoting healthy lifestyles and disease prevention.
  • Deliver nursing services within the defined scope of practice, based on patient assessment and care planning procedures.
  • Monitor patients' progress, evaluate the effectiveness of nursing interventions, and consult with the healthcare team as needed.
Requirements
  • Completion of a 1-2 year college, CEGEP, or non-university certificate or diploma program in nursing.
  • Experience in nursing is an asset.
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) Certificate and CPR Certificate are required.
  • Criminal record check, immunization records, and tuberculosis test are mandatory.
  • Vulnerable sector check and reference required.
