About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team at Extendicare (Canada) Inc. as a valued member of our healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide Patient Care: Deliver high-quality nursing services to patients based on individual assessments and care plans.
  • Health Education: Educate patients and their families on safety and health practices.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the healthcare team to monitor patient progress and evaluate the effectiveness of nursing interventions.
  • Certifications and Licenses: Maintain current certifications in Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) and CPR, and complete the Canadian Practical Nurse Registration Examination.
  • Security and Safety: Meet the requirements for a criminal record check, immunization records, tuberculosis test, and vulnerable sector check.
  • Work Environment: Work in a nursing home/home for the aged setting, providing care to patients with varying needs.
Requirements
  • Education: Completion of a college, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma program of 1-2 years, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: Previous experience in a nursing role is an asset.
