Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Manufacturing Process Engineer to join our team at Randstad Canada. As a key member of our engineering department, you will be responsible for implementing new and modified manufacturing processes on the shop floor, including specification, design, installation, commissioning, and ongoing daily support with a focus on automation.

Key Responsibilities

Identify and execute shop floor improvements on existing lines to increase output and reduce costs.

Provide technical support for hot forging, machining, assembly, robotics, and welding processes and equipment.

Champion new automation projects and methodically analyze and implement cost-improvement projects.

Maintain proper documentation during project execution to support ISO requirements.

Manage tooling vendors and provide support for tooling issues, including hammer forge tool design and forging simulation analysis/optimization.

Requirements

Engineering degree or engineering technologist diploma with a minimum of 5 years of hands-on manufacturing/process engineering shop floor experience.

Experience in forging, shearing, induction heating, robotics, threading, machining, welding, and heat treating is considered a significant advantage.

ISO/IATF exposure is considered an advantage.

Good working knowledge of 3D CAD software (Solidworks) is an advantage.

Proven experience in continuous improvement projects is a must.

Self-starter with a strong bias for action is required.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
