We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team at RhynoCare Healthcare. As an LPN, you will be responsible for providing high-quality nursing care to our residents in long term and acute care facilities in the Parksville area.
Responsibilities:- Provide nursing care in accordance with established policies, physician's orders, and the resident plan of care.
- Utilize sound nursing practice principles to ensure the delivery of excellent nursing and personal care.
- Ensure timely and accessible admissions, comprehensive orientations, and safe resident transfers and discharges.
- Manage and maintain accurate records of medications, narcotics, and other medical supplies.
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care to meet the physical, psychological, emotional, spiritual, cultural, and social needs of residents.
- Active registration with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives.
- Able to work with persons with infectious diseases.
- BLS Certificate.
- Valid First Aid & CPR.
- Proof of current immunizations for Measles, Mumps, Rubella, and Varicella (MMRV), and negative TB skin test within one year.
- Current Vulnerable Sector Police Check.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills.
- Flexibility to work various shift times, including 8 or 12 hours, and ability to 'float' between units.
Please note that all applicants must be in compliance with RhynoCare Healthcare's shift acceptance/cancellation policy.
