Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Hotel Food and Beverage Service Manager to join our team at Holiday Inn Express & Suites Waterloo/St. Jacobs. As a key member of our hotel's management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our food and beverage services, ensuring exceptional guest experiences, and driving revenue growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Budgeting and Financial Management
    • Develop and manage budgets to determine costs of food, ingredients, alcohol, kitchen, and cleaning supplies.
    • Balance cash and complete balance sheets, cash reports, and related forms.
  • Operations Management
    • Evaluate daily operations and implement operational procedures to ensure efficiency and quality.
    • Determine the type of services to be offered and implement operational procedures.
    • Organize and maintain inventory.
  • Customer Service and Relations
    • Provide exceptional customer service and address customer complaints or concerns.
    • Negotiate arrangements with suppliers for food and other supplies.
    • Negotiate with clients for catering or use of facilities.
  • Marketing and Sales
    • Participate in marketing plans and implementation to drive revenue growth.
  • Supervision and Team Management
    • Supervise a team of 3-4 people.
  • Computer and Technology Knowledge
    • Proficient in MS Access, MS Excel, MS Office, MS Outlook, MS PowerPoint, and MS Windows.
  • Work Environment and Physical Demands
    • Work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
    • Stand for extended periods and handle heavy loads.
  • Personal Qualities and Skills
    • Accurate, client-focused, dependable, efficient interpersonal skills, excellent oral and written communication, flexibility, organized, reliable, team player, and ability to multitask.
  • Experience
    • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role.
Requirements
  • College/CEGEP education.
  • Ability to work in a physically demanding environment.
