Job Title: Hotel Food and Beverage Service Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Hotel Food and Beverage Service Manager to join our team at Holiday Inn Express & Suites Waterloo/St. Jacobs.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our food and beverage services, ensuring exceptional customer experiences, and maintaining high standards of quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Budgetary Responsibility: Develop and manage budgets to determine costs of food, ingredients, alcohol, kitchen, and cleaning supplies.
  • Operations Management: Evaluate daily operations, determine service types, and implement operational procedures.
  • Cash Management: Balance cash, complete balance sheets, cash reports, and related forms.
  • Performance Reviews: Conduct performance reviews to ensure team members are meeting expectations.
  • Cost Control: Cost products and services to ensure profitability.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Enforce provincial/territorial liquor legislation and regulations.
  • Inventory Management: Organize and maintain inventory to ensure efficient operations.
  • Health and Safety: Ensure health and safety regulations are followed to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Supplier Negotiations: Negotiate arrangements with suppliers for food and other supplies.
  • Customer Service: Address customers' complaints or concerns and provide exceptional customer service.
  • Marketing: Participate in marketing plans and implementation to promote our food and beverage services.
Requirements:
  • Education: College/CEGEP degree in a related field.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Language: English.
  • Computer Skills: Proficient in MS Access, MS Excel, MS Office, MS Outlook, MS PowerPoint, and MS Windows.
  • Work Environment: Fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and physically demanding tasks.
