Job Title: Registered Nurse - Complex Continuing Care

Baycrest Hospital is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our Complex Continuing Care Unit (5E) and Nursing Resource Team (NRT). As a key member of our interdisciplinary care team, you will provide high-quality, client-centered care to older adults with complex medical conditions in a non-acute hospital setting.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide comprehensive, quality client/family-centered health care services from admission to discharge
  • Plan, deliver, and evaluate nursing interventions, including medication administration and treatments within the RN's scope of practice
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to meet the personal care, activation, recreation, and spiritual needs of clients
Qualifications:
  • Current registration in good standing from the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO)
  • Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certificate, Level C - Automated External Device (AED)
  • BScN preferred
  • Previous geriatric experience preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to take professional accountability for leading, organizing, providing, and delegating care activities
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Basic computer skills - Meditech, Microsoft Word, and Excel, RM&R Resource Matching and Referral preferred
