About the RoleThis Audit Manager, Operations Audit position offers an exciting opportunity to work with our high-performing team and contribute to the success of our Operations Audit Function. As a seasoned professional with expertise in audit and risk management, you will play a key role in supporting team strategies, ensuring compliance with regulations, policies, and procedures, and fostering a culture of excellence within the organization.
Responsibilities- Contribute to the development and implementation of audit plans, ensuring effective execution and reporting on audits
- Provide expert guidance and support to team members on risk-based auditing standards, practices, techniques, processes, and methodologies
- Maintain working knowledge of operations and regulatory environments to ensure effective audit coverage and findings
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, including audit teams, business leaders, and regulators
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging risks to enhance the quality of audits and mitigate potential risks
To be successful in this role, you will require:
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Proficient understanding of risk-based auditing standards, practices, techniques, processes, and methodologies
- Working knowledge of operations and regulatory environments
- Excellent project management and leadership skills
- A passion for delivering exceptional results and driving continuous improvement
We offer a competitive compensation package, including a base salary of $120,000 - $180,000 per annum, plus benefits such as traditional Indigenous Practices Leave, Indigenous Employee Mentoring Program, and access to training and development opportunities. You will also have the opportunity to work with a diverse and inclusive team, connect with other First Nations, Inuit, Métis Scotiabankers and their allies through our Indigenous Employee Resource Group, and contribute to making a positive impact in our communities.
