We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Department Supervisor to join our team at T&T Supermarket Inc.
Job Summary:The Department Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the supermarket department, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively. This includes supervising sales workers, hiring and training staff, establishing work schedules, and preparing reports on sales volumes and personnel matters.
Key Responsibilities:- Assign sales workers to duties and ensure that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
- Hire and train or arrange for training of staff to ensure that they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties.
- Establish work schedules to ensure that the department is adequately staffed at all times.
- Prepare reports on sales volumes, merchandising, and personnel matters to ensure that the department is operating efficiently and effectively.
- Resolve issues that may arise, including customer requests, complaints, and supply shortages.
- Organize and maintain inventory to ensure that the department has the necessary stock levels to meet customer demand.
- Supervise and co-ordinate activities of workers to ensure that they are working efficiently and effectively.
- Organise day-to-day business operations to ensure that the department is running smoothly and efficiently.
- Conduct quality control to ensure that all products meet the required standards.
- 5-10 years of experience in a supervisory role.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and under pressure.
- Attention to detail and ability to multitask.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
