About the Role:

We are looking for experienced Swim Instructors and Lifeguards who share our vision of supporting clients and families in achieving their goals. As an Aquatic Rehabilitation Specialist, you will be responsible for teaching water safety skills to children, youth, and adults with disabilities in a fully integrated setting. You will also provide leadership and supervision for our non-instructional and recreational aquatics program.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor instructional and recreational swimming activities to ensure a safe environment
  • Perform emergency rescues and respond to patron inquiries
  • Set up and clean the pool deck before and after shifts
  • Attend scheduled staff training and record hours worked
  • Keep certifications current and perform other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • Minimum 18 years of age
  • Previous experience teaching swimming lessons (min. 1 year)
  • Lifesaving Society Swim Instructor certification
  • Standard First Aid with CPR Level C
  • National Lifeguard certification
  • Satisfactory Vulnerable Sector Check

Compensation:

  • Instructor rate: $24.29/hour + 4% pay in lieu of vacation and relevant statutory holiday pay
  • Lifeguard rate: $20.50/hour + 4% pay in lieu of vacation and relevant statutory holiday pay
