Job Description/Duties:

Nuclear Industry Inspector

We are seeking a skilled Nuclear Industry Inspector to join our production team. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing all tasks of a NDE Inspector A and conducting non-destructive examinations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform NDE based on certifications in all areas of the Shop.
  • Read and interpret documentation, including drawings and operating procedures.
  • Create inspection reports, maintain, and file documentation.
  • Demonstrate good workmanship and practices.
  • Communicate effectively with internal team members and customer representatives.
  • Work in a safe manner, complying with all health, safety, and environmental guidelines/regulations.
  • Understand and adhere to quality requirements and productivity expectations.

Qualifications:

  • Proven commitment to workplace safety.
  • Must possess one of the following: CEDO UT CGSB-1 RT CGSB-1 2 years as a Fabrication/Machining inspector within BWXT Canada Ltd.; 5 years as Fabrication/Machine inspector with documented evidence from an external company or 5 years Fitting/Welding experience within BWXT Canada Ltd.; Certified Weld Inspector (AWS-CWI or CWB2).
  • Previous experience in a heavy manufacturing environment or in nuclear power-related industry.
  • Commitment to quality and the ability to work as a positive, effective team member, willing to go the extra mile to ensure we meet our customer expectations.
  • Proficient with computer software.
