Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Scrap Metal Shredder to join our team. As a Scrap Metal Shredder, you will be responsible for setting up, preparing, and adjusting processing machinery, transporting raw materials, finished products, and scrap materials through the plant, sorting, stacking, bundling, and stamping materials, providing job training and support, and assisting process and machine operators in mineral ore and metal processing.

Key Responsibilities
  • Set up, prepare, and adjust processing machinery to ensure efficient and safe operation.
  • Transport raw materials, finished products, and scrap materials through the plant, adhering to safety protocols and regulations.
  • Sort, stack, bundle, and stamp materials to meet quality and production standards.
  • Provide job training and support to new employees, ensuring they are equipped to perform their duties effectively.
  • Assist process and machine operators in mineral ore and metal processing, ensuring smooth and efficient production.
  • Clean machines and immediate work areas to maintain a safe and healthy work environment.
  • Load and unload vehicles using forklift or dolly, following safety procedures and guidelines.
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
  • 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a related field.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, handling heavy loads, and performing physically demanding tasks.
  • Manual dexterity, attention to detail, and hand-eye coordination are essential for this role.
  • Valid driver's license and own transportation are required.
Working Conditions

This role involves working in a noisy, odorous, dusty, hot, and cold environment. You will be required to stand for extended periods, bend, crouch, and kneel, and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
