Job Title: Personal Support Worker

VON Canada is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Support Worker to join our Assisted Living Program in London Middlesex-Elgin.

About the Role:

As a Personal Support Worker, you will provide care and support to clients in their homes and other settings, helping them to maintain their independence and quality of life. Your duties will include:

  • Providing personal care and assistance with daily living activities, such as grooming, dressing, and bathing
  • Assisting with mobility and transfers
  • Planning and preparing meals and light household duties
  • Providing respite care and support
  • Monitoring and maintaining household safety
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Personal Support Worker (PSW) or Developmental Services Worker (DSW) or Home Support Worker (Level I, II, III) or Health Care Aide (HCA) Certificate
  • Current Standard First Aid Certificate or CPR level C Certificate required
  • A valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle is required
  • Current Criminal Records Check including a Vulnerable Sector Search and/or a Child Abuse Registry Check is required
  • Must be able to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
