Job Description

We are seeking an experienced banking professional to join our team as a Senior Financial Services Manager. In this role, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of high net worth clients, providing relationship banking and administrative support, and utilizing your knowledge of Scotiabank's diverse products and services to anticipate client needs and deliver solutions.

You will lead portfolio management and risk mitigation by working directly with Retail credit adjudication or Wealth Credit Solutions, negotiating standard Bank terms, conditions, structuring fees, interest rates, and documentation. You will also use your exceptional interpersonal, leadership, and business development skills to drive business development, maintain a strong market profile with assigned partners and business channels, and contribute to the effective functioning of the Private Banking and Centre team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a portfolio of high net worth clients, providing relationship banking and administrative support.
  • Utilize knowledge of Scotiabank's diverse products and services to anticipate client needs and deliver solutions.
  • Lead portfolio management and risk mitigation by working directly with Retail credit adjudication or Wealth Credit Solutions.
  • Drive business development, maintain a strong market profile with assigned partners and business channels.
  • Contribute to the effective functioning of the Private Banking and Centre team.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years of commercial lending experience and 10 years banking experience.
  • Established network of High Net Worth clients in the Canadian Banking industry.
  • Managerial Commercial and/or Retail Banking experience, dealing with high net worth clients and sophisticated financing requirements.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, leadership, and business development skills.
  • University degree (BComm, MBA, CFA), in addition to industry courses (eg. CSC, PFP, CFP).
