About the Role

Stonewood Group Inc. is seeking a seasoned Senior Financial Strategist to join its senior management team. This leadership position will oversee all financial matters of the company, providing timely and accurate financial reports to the executive management team and Board of Directors.

The ideal candidate will partner with the CEO and operating team to provide financial guidance and counsel on strategic business planning, budgeting, forecasting, business analysis, and corporate growth strategies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Contribute to the overall management of the firm as part of the senior management team.
  • Provide hands-on leadership, guidance, mentorship, and performance management to the finance staff in the organization.
  • Ensure that the finance organization is structured and sized to meet the needs of the business.
  • Continuously assess the finance organization and its practices to ensure they evolve with the business as it grows and matures.
  • Support the CEO with ongoing fundraising activities while effectively managing the company's cash.
  • Oversee and manage all financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and reconciliations, ensuring the interests of all stakeholders are served.
  • Manage relationships with the audit firm for annual audits and income tax activities.
  • Develop and implement internal controls to benefit all stakeholders and enhance business efficiency.
  • Effectively manage the company's cash and securities position and drive supplementary initiatives as needed.
Requirements

The successful candidate will have:

  • A minimum of 10-15 years of senior financial management experience at the CFO level, overseeing day-to-day financial operations.
  • Technology sector experience, preferably within managed services or recurring revenue business models.
  • Experience working in mid-sized technology companies, addressing scaling and growth issues, M&A, and post-acquisition integration.
  • Expertise in best practices for financial strategies, reporting, controls, and processes for companies with $50 million+ revenue.
  • Experience preparing and presenting to venture capital companies and other outside shareholders.

What We Offer

This role offers a competitive salary of $150,000 - $200,000 per year, commensurate with experience, along with a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plan, and paid time off.
