Critical Care Nurse Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Critical Care Nurse Specialist to join our team at the Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre. As a critical care float position, this role requires the ability to work effectively in both ICU and CCU settings.

ResponsibilitiesThe successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care within a delivery model in accordance with the philosophy, policies, and standards of care of the Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre (RVH), the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO), and all relevant legislation.
Key Responsibilities:- Providing direct patient care in ICU and CCU settings
- Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless patient care
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient records
- Participating in continuous quality improvement initiatives
To be considered for this role, you must have:
- Current registration in good standing with the Ontario College of Nurses
- Critical Care Certificate or willingness to complete within one year of hire
- Coronary Care I & II required
- Current BCLS required
- Current ACLS required
- Postgraduate courses in Cardiology, Respiratory, and Physical Assessment essential
- Able to pass a screening arrhythmia quiz with an 80% score to proceed to interview phase
This is a full-time position with rotating shifts, including evenings, nights, and weekends. The successful candidate must be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and demonstrate excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
CompensationThe salary for this position is estimated to be $85,000 - $110,000 per year, commensurate with experience. In addition to a competitive salary, we offer a comprehensive benefits package and opportunities for professional growth and development.
