Project Manager - Engineering Leadership

Agilus is seeking a highly skilled Project Manager to lead engineering projects in the Mining and Refining Business in Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of engineering projects, including defining project scope, budget, and schedule, and ensuring safe execution of projects aligned with business and organizational objectives.

  • Develop and implement project management plans to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and organizational standards.
  • Lead project development, ensuring engineering processes are in place and followed in accordance with the site Professional Practice Management Plan (PPMP).
  • Define project scope and deliverables in each stage of the project, demonstrating a strong project life-cycle approach.
  • Identify and secure necessary resources for project execution, including engineering, procurement, and construction resources.
  • Develop execution strategies to deliver efficient and effective project execution.
  • Prepare and submit project financial requests for approval.
  • Provide regular project reporting and updates to stakeholders.
  • Lead effective project change management and perform project risk management to ensure strong project delivery.
Requirements:
  • Post-secondary degree in a relevant field (e.g., Engineering, Science).
  • Professional designation in Engineering or Technology (e.g., P.Eng., C.E.T.).
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) designation.
  • 8+ years of project management and industrial plant experience.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office and project management software.
  • Finance and business acumen with strong analytical skills.
  • Job planning and turnaround planning experience an asset.
  • Strong leadership and collaboration skills.
