Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Financial Reporting Specialist to join our team at Canada Goose. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to contribute to the preparation of accounting entries, quarterly and annual external financial statements, and securities filings in Canada and the United States.

About the Role

This Senior Financial Reporting Specialist position involves collaborating across departments within Finance to support lease accounting, contributing to the quarterly and annual external financial statements, Management's Discussion and Analysis (MD&A), and securities filings in Canada and the United States. The successful candidate will assist in the preparation of monthly financial statements and certain accounting entries and account reconciliations.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in the preparation of quarterly and annual external financial statements, MD&A, and securities filings in Canada and the United States.
  • Support the preparation of note disclosures and certain supporting schedules.
  • Review XBRL tagging of Annual Financial Statements in Workiva Wdesk platform.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
  • Contribute to team effort by completing financial reporting tasks as needed.
Requirements
  • University degree in Business/Accounting or related field.
  • Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation is in progress or completed.
  • 4+ years of accounting experience, preferably in a publicly traded company listed in Canada and the United States.
  • Experience in financial analysis or data analytics, with advanced Microsoft Excel skills required.
  • ERP experience, preferably with Microsoft Dynamics 365.
  • Experience with Workiva Wdesk platform for financial reporting.
