About the Role

Pelican Events & Catering is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Human Resources Administrator to join our team. As a key member of our HR department, you will be responsible for providing administrative support to our HR team and ensuring the smooth operation of our human resources functions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Event Planning and Coordination: Assist in planning and coordinating seminars, conferences, and other events, including arranging logistics, catering, and audio-visual equipment.
  • Minute Taking and Record Keeping: Record and prepare minutes of meetings, seminars, and conferences, and maintain accurate and up-to-date records.
  • Recruitment and Training: Plan, develop, and implement recruitment strategies, manage training and development programs, and oversee the onboarding process for new employees.
  • Payroll and Benefits Administration: Assist with payroll administration, including processing payroll, managing benefits, and ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Travel Arrangements and Data Entry: Arrange travel, related itineraries, and make reservations, as well as perform data entry tasks to maintain accurate and up-to-date records.
Requirements
  • Education: College or CEGEP diploma required.
  • Experience: 2 years of experience in a human resources or administrative role.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and organizational skills, proficiency in MS Office, including Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word, and experience with human resources software.
