Your Skills and Expertise

To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start)
  • Five (5) years of experience in formulating and designing composites, adhesives, sealants, and fire stopping products within private, public, government, or military environment.

Additional Qualifications

  • Ph.D. or M.Sc. degree in Polymer/Materials/Chemistry in either Science or Engineering from an accredited institution
  • Past experience in working with third party standards and specifications
  • Past experience in designing and/or running fire-stopping product testing and knowledge of systems and assemblies certification
  • Skills include strong acumen for problem-solving, communication, teamwork, innovation and commercialization mindset

Work Location and Travel

  • 3M Headquarters in Woodbury, MN or London, ON
  • May include up to 10% domestic/international travel
