Salary: $65,000 - $85,000 per year, depending on experience
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Cook to join our dietary services team at one of our long-term care facilities. As a Cook, you will play a vital role in ensuring that our residents receive nutritious and delicious meals every day. If you have a passion for cooking and a commitment to exceptional customer service, we encourage you to apply.
About the Role:
- Prepare and cook meals for residents, including special diets and therapeutic menus
- Assist with menu planning and inventory management
- Maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment
- Supervise Dietary Aides and provide guidance and support as needed
- Collaborate with the Dietary Supervisor to ensure seamless operations
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Minimum two years' experience in a similar role, preferably in a long-term care setting
- Strong knowledge of culinary practices and food safety protocols
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Criminal Records Check with Vulnerable Sector Screening
