Job Description

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Staff Software Engineer to join our team at Intuit. As a key member of our engineering organization, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing operational capabilities, tools, and processes that deliver highly available, scalable, and reliable customer experiences.

Responsibilities

  • Apply comprehensive understanding of the business, customer needs, and solutions to expertly design, develop, and implement operational capabilities, tools, and processes.
  • Utilize expertise in reliability engineering, information technology, and connected services to bring transformative operational approaches and solutions.
  • Expertly build, operate, and scale Kubernetes services running on AWS, collaborating closely with Intuit Product and Platform Development Teams.
  • Contribute to critical platform components FMEA and Chaos Engineering, identifying resiliency gaps and preparing the team for faster recovery from production incidents.
  • Uncover cost-saving opportunities by contributing to cost and capacity management for various platform components.
  • Develop observability components with massive scale for platforms to detect issues quickly and isolate the problem as part of fast recovery.
  • Build automation for operational insights and analytics to gather, analyze, correlate data about infrastructure, deployment, incident, and change activities.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot build, deployment, and infrastructure issues.
  • Debugging and automating day-to-day operational tasks.
  • Provide application operational support from inception to retirement.
  • Troubleshoot complex issues and manage stakeholder expectations during incidents.
  • Participate in 12/7 on-call rotations along with the IKS Development Team.
  • Drive and own Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for specific applications.

What We Offer

We provide a competitive compensation package with a strong pay for performance rewards approach. The expected base pay range for this position is Southern California $194,500-263,000. This position will be eligible for a cash bonus, equity rewards, and benefits, in accordance with our applicable plans and programs.
