Key Responsibilities
  • Store Operations: Supervise and coordinate the activities of sales staff, ensuring that they are meeting sales targets and providing excellent customer service.
  • Merchandise Management: Order and manage inventory, ensuring that our store is well-stocked and that merchandise is displayed in an attractive and appealing manner.
  • Customer Service: Ensure that customers receive exceptional service, responding to their needs and resolving any issues that may arise.
  • Staff Management: Hire, train, and develop sales staff, ensuring that they have the skills and knowledge needed to succeed in their roles.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Prepare and analyze sales reports, identifying trends and areas for improvement.
  • Inventory Control: Maintain accurate inventory records, ensuring that our store is not overstocked or understocked.
  • Visual Merchandising: Ensure that our store is visually appealing, with attractive displays and signage.
  • Accessibility and Inclusion: Ensure that our store is accessible and inclusive for all customers, including those with disabilities.
  • Support for Newcomers and Refugees: Participate in programs that support the settlement and integration of newcomers and refugees.
  • Support for Youth: Participate in programs that support youth employment and provide on-the-job training and mentorship opportunities.
  • Support for Veterans: Participate in programs that support veterans and provide mentorship, coaching, and networking opportunities.
  • Support for Indigenous People: Participate in programs that support Indigenous people and provide cultural competency training and awareness.
  • Support for Mature Workers: Participate in programs that support mature workers and provide phased retirement options and mentorship opportunities.
  • Support for Visible Minorities: Participate in programs that support visible minorities and provide diversity and cross-cultural training.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a retail environment.
  • Skills: Excellent customer service skills, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and strong leadership and communication skills.
